ABOUT URUGUAY
Uruguay is comprised of Stepha, who is an Afro-Indigenous artist from A Ni Sa Ho Ni (Cherokee - Blue/Medicine clan) and Arapaho ancestry. And Benjamin Dawson-Sivalia, a French-American multi-instrumentalist.
Uruguay is taking a grungier approach to Indie-pop, the group harnesses influences from Radiohead, Billie Eilish, Arlo Parks, and Dua Saleh. These inflections have been translated into a vibrant kaleidoscopic of sonic waves through which their organic production and haunting vocals leave a lasting impression.

"We are striving to bring a stronger and louder Native voice and presence to the music industry. And to create an easier path for other diverse, young Indigenous artists within this world." - Stepha
